Learning Alias sponsors the Education of children in Nepal. This is Deepana and we need to raise money to put her through Nursing College in Kathmandu. Learning Alias Blog is a free service, but if you would like to show your appreciation, please make a small donation. 100% of your money will go directly to pay Deepana’s college fees. Without the help of sponsors in the developed world, Deepana would receive no education whatsoever, as she comes from a remote Hymalayan village.  Thank You, graham bullock.

I’ve Built the Cockpit Surfaces Across the YO Axis

There’s a good reason to build the center surfaces of a vehicle across the YO, as trying to build only the LHS. and then >Duplicate>Mirror, nearly always leaves you with a surface continuity break

I have used the Zebra diagnostic shading in conjunction with internal Curvature Combs

On the isoparms and tweaked at the Cv’s on the roof, in order to get the best surface I can at this early stage.TIP: Use the Move CV tool set step size to 0.01 initially move several CV’s in the required area, NOT JUST ONE and to finish off your CV Pulling, set step size to 0.001 mm.

I Saved The Cockpit Out and then Filletted it Just for Presentation Purposes

The real model has no fillets, as these I leave off until the last possible moment. Once you have destroyed the surface intersections, you are very limited, if you want to replace a surface or you don’t like the size fillet that you have created. You could untrim an re fillet, but in Industry you work with out corner fillets until near the end of the build.[slickr-flickr tag=”cockpit”]To Learn Alias Automotive to Industry entry level has been made easier.
