As Brian nears completion of his first week as an Alias Automotive modeler in Italy, I want to report his experience in his Alias Job.

He has been given accommodation in a company residence close to the Alias Design Studio, which he likes. He has been going in an hour early 08:00h and finishing 2 hours late 19:00h. He has an experienced Alias Modeler sitting next to him, who keeps his eye on how he is getting along with his model. H’s real lucky to have a good salary and getting on the job training as well

Their way of modeling is unusual in terms of the surface geom permitted in their project spec. They don’t use the typical 5,5,1,1, 6 3,3,1,1, surface geom. Also they position the vehicle offset from the origin. All companies differ in the way they set-up projects in the stage.

This weekend Brian is working on a Mesh to NURBS video tutorial for www.leaarningalias.co.uk, so those of you who want to apply for a place as a student with me will soon be able to see brian’s videos on Reverse Engineering. it was this skill that got him his job.
